C.O.L Formwork Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team in Melbourne. We specialise in commercial formwork construction across Melbourne and require someone who can take responsibility for projects from commencement through to completion. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong construction knowledge who can confidently manage builders, site teams, programs, materials and project costs.
Key responsibilities
- Managing multiple commercial formwork projects
- Reviewing structural, architectural and PT drawings
- Planning labour, materials, deliveries, crane requirements and pour schedules
- Working closely with foremen, site supervisors, builders, engineers and suppliers
- Monitoring construction programs and ensuring works remain on scheduleAttending site and project meetings
- Preparing and managing variations, RFIs, site instructions and delay notices
- Monitoring project budgets, labour costs and overall profitability
- Coordinating site safety, SWMS and compliance requirements
About you
- Demonstrated Project Management experience in commercial construction
- Strong formwork,
concrete structures or structural subcontracting experience
- The practical ability to understand how formwork projects are built and delivered
- Excellent knowledge of construction drawings and specifications
- Strong planning, programming and organisational skills
- Experience managing foremen, subcontractors and site labour
- Confidence dealing directly with builders and site management
- Experience identifying and documenting variations and project delays
- Solid cost-control and commercial awareness
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A current White Card
- Full Australian working rights
