About the Role
You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of Business Services and Tax clients, preparing compliance work while progressively developing your exposure to tax planning, commercial matters and Business Advisory.
The role will provide the opportunity to work across more complex entity structures while developing your technical skills and understanding of your clients’ businesses.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns
- Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Working across companies, trusts, SMSFs and company group structures
- Assisting with tax planning and taxation matters
- Supporting senior staff with Business Advisory engagements
- Analysing financial information and assisting with commercial outcomes for clients
- Liaising with clients and responding to accounting and taxation queries
- Managing workflow and competing deadlines
- Working collaboratively within a technology-driven accounting workplace
- Developing your technical knowledge across Australian taxation and accounting requirements
About You
You will have:
- 2+ years’ Australian public practice experience
- Experience across Business Services and Tax
- Experience preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS
- Exposure to companies, trusts and other business structures
- Relevant Accounting, Commerce or Business degree
- CA/CPA studies commenced or an interest in completing the qualification
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Strong organisation and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Experience with cloud-based accounting systems highly regarded
- A proactive attitude and genuine desire to develop your career within Chartered Accounting
