The Opportunity

We are seeking an independent Commercial Lawyer with 3+ years post-admission experience to join us on a permanent basis. This role offers genuine flexibility for lawyers who value work-life integration, and wish to avoid the demands of sole practice ownership.

You will operate with significant autonomy while benefiting from our established client base, systems, and infrastructure.

What You Will Do

Primary Responsibilities:

- Handle matters within our core service areas:

- Contracts
- Employment law (for employers)
- Trade marks
- Business structures
- Buying or selling businesses
- Leases

- Maintain rigorous compliance with firm rules and procedures.
- Complete full induction and review the operations manual thoroughly.
- Share innovations for approval prior to implementation, explaining the rationale behind proposed changes.





Performance Expectations (KPIs):

- Bill and recover revenue equivalent to 3 × your salary plus superannuation.
- For example: earning $100,000 plus super requires billing $336,000 annually.

- At a charge-out rate of $350 per hour, this translates to approximately 4–5 billable hours per day across 44 working weeks.
- We will offer a salary against billings each quarter based on performance.

Note:

Days will extend beyond core billable hours due to file administration responsibilities. Paralegal and VA support will assist, but efficient time management remains essential.

Work Arrangements

- Office presence : 3 days per week during core hours (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
- Remote work : Remaining work may be completed from wherever you choose, provided confidentiality protocols and firm systems are maintained.
- Availability : Responsive to client calls and correspondence.

Salary and Incentive Structure

- Competitive base salary reviewed quarterly against billing performance.
- Performance incentive: up to 20% of annual billings exceeding the base target, paid at the commencement of the subsequent financial year.
- Example: A lawyer targeting $100,000 plus superannuation must deliver $336,000 in billings; any excess will generate a bonus.
