Eversafe Fire & Safety is looking for an experienced Electrical / Fire Systems Estimator to join our team in an office-based role.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator who understands the fire protection industry, electrical systems and estimating processes , and can hit the ground running.
Fire industry experience and Simpro experience are an absolute must for this position.
The Role
Working closely with our management, sales and operations teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates and quotations across a range of fire protection and electrical works.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed estimates and quotations for fire and electrical works
- Reviewing scopes of work, drawings, specifications and client requirements
- Estimating labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs
- Preparing quotes and proposals for new and existing customers
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
- Reviewing tender documentation and identifying project requirements
- Ensuring estimates are accurate, commercially viable and submitted on time
- Using Simpro to prepare, manage and track estimates and quotations
- Working with technicians, management and the scheduling team to ensure accurate scopes and pricing
- Following up quotations and assisting with tender and sales opportunities
- Maintaining accurate estimating records and documentation
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring proven industry experience to the role.
You will have:
- Previous estimating experience within the fire protection industry – essential
- Hands-on experience using Simpro – essential
- Strong understanding of fire detection, fire alarm, emergency lighting and other fire protection systems
- Electrical industry knowledge and experience
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Strong understanding of labour, material and subcontractor pricing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong computer and administration skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a busy team
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and manage estimating margins
