The Council

The Role

Reporting to the Director Community Services and Economic Development, you will provide leadership to the current team of 19, oversight and operational direction for Curry Kids Early Learning Centre while supporting the transition into the new facility. As Nominated Supervisor, you will ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, maintain robust governance and reporting practices, support staff, and foster confidence among families and stakeholders.

A key focus of this interim assignment will be guiding the service through the transition to the new centre, ensuring operational readiness, supporting regulatory requirements, stabilising, coaching and further developing the team, assisting with educator recruitment, and maintaining clear communication with families regarding enrolments,



opening timelines and available programs.

The Person

You are an experienced Childcare Director, Nominated Supervisor, or Senior Early Childhood Leader with a proven ability to lead teams, manage compliance obligations and deliver quality outcomes in a agile environment. Renowned for your leadership capability and hands on approach, you bring strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, child safety requirements, workforce leadership and operational management, combined with highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You are comfortable navigating change, building trust with educators and families, and driving practical outcomes. Experience supporting service transitions, centre openings or significant operational improvements will be highly regarded.
