Rostering & Scheduling Officer - NDIS & Support at Home (Aged Care)
You will coordinate and manage daily and ongoing rosters for NDIS Services including Supported Independent Living (SIL), In-Home Supports, Community Access Supports, Short-Term Accommodation (STA), Aged Care Support at Home Services, Domestic Assistance, Personal Care, Social Support and Community Access, and Transport Services. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, strong communication, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring clients receive consistent, quality care and support. You will be responsible for coordinating rosters, managing scheduling changes, and responding to support workers' queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. You will also play an important role in supporting workforce coordination, maintaining effective communication with staff and clients, and helping deliver safe, reliable, high-quality and person-centred services across communities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain efficient staff rosters across NDIS and Aged Care Support at Home services
- Match support workers and care staff to clients based on skills, qualifications, experience, availability, client preferences, and support requirements
- Coordinate shift replacements for planned and unplanned absences
- Respond promptly to roster changes and urgent service requests
- Monitor workforce utilisation and roster efficiency
- Ensure continuity of care and consistent support worker allocation where possible
- Manage leave requests and workforce availability
- Coordinate after-hours roster adjustments and emergency staffing requirements when required
- Liaise with NDIS participants, aged care clients, family members, representatives, and care managers regarding service schedules
- Ensure client preferences and support requirements are accurately reflected within rosters
About you
- Previous experience in rostering, scheduling, workforce coordination, administration, or service delivery coordination
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Robust problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Advanced systems and software proficiency required
- Current Driver Licence
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
