EL Workforce is currently seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client’s team on a part-time basis.

Our client is an established traffic management and labour hire business , operating in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. This is a hands-on HR role suited to an experienced HR professional who is confident working directly with managers and employees and understands the challenges of a workforce-based business.

About the Role

Working closely with the business, you will provide practical HR support across the employee lifecycle, helping ensure policies, procedures and people practices are effective, compliant and aligned with the needs of the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
- Managing and supporting performance management processes and employee reviews
- Reviewing employee entitlements, employment conditions and HR practices
- Providing advice and support on employee relations and workplace issues
- Dealing with Unions
- Assisting managers with difficult conversations, performance concerns and disciplinary matters
- Supporting the business with HR compliance and best-practice processes
- Providing practical advice around employee management,



conduct and workplace expectations
- Reviewing employment processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Supporting the business with general HR matters as they arise
- Acting as a trusted HR point of contact for both management and employees

About You

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is comfortable operating in a hands-on, operational environment.

You will ideally have:

- Previous experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or similar
- Strong knowledge of performance management and employee relations
- Experience reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- A sound understanding of employee entitlements and workplace legislation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The confidence to deal with challenging employee matters professionally and fairly
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to HR
- Experience within construction, traffic management, labour hire, civil or a similar industry would be highly regarded
- Experience working with or around CFMEU / construction industry environments would be advantageous

Hours & Location

- Part-time: 24–30 hours per week
- Ideally spread across 4–5 days per week
- Office-based role
- Flexible hours for the right candidate
