About the Role

Are you passionate about creating meaningful experiences, fostering connections and building a vibrant community for older people?

As our Lifestyle Coordinator, you will play a key role in enriching the lives of our residents by developing, coordinating and delivering engaging lifestyle programs that promote wellbeing, independence, choice, connection and a strong sense of belonging.

Working closely with theRecreational Therapy Regional Advisor, Residential Manager, Allied Health professionals, volunteers, residents, families and community partners, you will create opportunities that support residents:

- Physical and emotional wellbeing

- Social and community connection

- Cultural and spiritual needs

- Cognitive wellbeing and personal interests

- Independence, choice and participation

- Individual goals, preferences and life experiences

From coordinating celebrations, special events and community activities to developing meaningful partnerships and encouraging resident participation, every day provides an chance to make a genuine difference.

Requirements

- Certificate IV Leisure and Health (Essential)
- Diversional Therapy qualifications and/or Aged Care specific qualifications (Desirable)
- Experience in leisure and lifestyle service provision.Knowledge of best practice approaches within diversional therapy and leisure & lifestyle service provision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to undertake leisure-based assessments and care planning with individual residents.
- Practical knowledge of the Aged Care Standards and the Accreditation process
- Demonstrated understanding of the relevant Laws, Acts, Regulations, Charters and Codes of Practice
