Are you an experienced veterinary nurse looking for an alternative to traditional clinic practice.

The Fur Dental, part of Rufus & Coco, Australia's most awarded pet care brand, is looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our growing team.

This is a unique opportunity to use your exceptional animal handling skills in a specialist role helping improve the oral health and wellbeing of dogs and cats. Full training is provided, so you don't need previous experience in our techniques—we'll teach you everything you need to know.

About us

The Fur Dental operates within The Fur Salon, Sydney's premium pet grooming destination, with salons in Mosman, Balgowlah and Queens Park, while also providing services through selected grooming partners across Sydney.

We are passionate about helping pets live healthier, happier lives through preventative oral care and exceptional customer service.

The role





- Perform professional pet dental cleaning services using The Fur Dental's specialised techniques and equipment
- Assess each pet and provide outstanding care throughout the appointment
- Confidently handle dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes and temperaments
- Educate pet owners on ongoing oral health care
- Maintain accurate treatment records
- Travel between salon locations and partner businesses
- Assist with other pet wellbeing services, including home health support such as administering medication (under veterinary direction) and in-home pet care when required

About you

You'll be someone who:

- Has exceptional dog and cat handling skills
- Has at least two years' veterinary nursing experience
- Has experience assisting with veterinary dental procedures
- Enjoys building rapport with people as much as pets
- Is confident working independently
- Is organised, reliable and professional
- Holds a current Australian driver's licence
- Is comfortable travelling between locations
