You will assist senior chefs, maintain kitchen equipment, and serve food that meets dietary requirements. You will monitor food handling, communicate with residents and staff, and operate in a cost-efficient manner to support budgeting efforts.Responsibilities include:Adheres to all food safety and hygiene legislation, regulations, and Bolton Clarke quality standards, particularly in the preparation and service of food to vulnerable persons.Prepares ingredients for cooking, as well as non-cooked food items such as sandwiches and salads and ensures that food is ready for meal service in a timely and hygienic manner.Performs basic cooking tasks for meals and food items that do not require a trade-level qualification and assists more senior cooks and chefs in preparing a range of meals under general supervision.Reheats pre-cooked food and prepares meals as required, ensures that food is served at the correct temperature and complies with Bolton Clarke’s quality and safety standards.About YouTo be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:A minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial catering, aged care, healthcare, hospitality, or a similar food service workplace. Experience in aged care, nursing homes, or hospitals is highly regarded.Sound knowledge and practical experience in preparing texture-modified meals in line with IDDSI standards, including Minced & Moist, Pureed, Soft & Bite-Sized, and Easy to Chew diets.A strong understanding of resident dietary requirements, including allergies,



intolerances, cultural preferences, and specialised nutrition needs.Demonstrated knowledge of allergen management and cross-contamination prevention practices.A current Food Safety Certificate and Allergen Awareness Certificate.
