A global energy and infrastructure business is seeking a hands‑on Financial Modeller to join their Sydney-based team, coming from an energy or banking background. This is a genuinely modelling-heavy role, sitting at the centre of structured and project financing activities Australia-wide - working closely with debt and equity providers, banks and investors to support financing, investment, and M&A; transactions.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and own complex, structured financial models from scratch - supporting project development, financing, and investment decision-making
- Model and structure debt financing solutions for energy projects
- Build and stress-test scenario and sensitivity models to support financing and investment committee decisions
- Contribute to M&A; activities, including financial analysis, valuation modelling, and due diligence




- Maintain and evolve models supporting broader finance activities - budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Work directly with banks, investors, and financial stakeholders on model outputs, assumptions, and structuring

About You

- Advanced financial modelling - three-statement, project finance/debt structures, LBO, scenario / sensitivity analysis.
- Robust background in energy, infrastructure, or utility-scale project financing - from either the developer or banking side
- Deep, practical experience with debt financing, bank models and transaction due diligence
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering
- Full working rights in Australia required
