About the role

As an Accreditation Officer within Teaching Standards and Accreditation, you will play an significant role in supporting quality teaching across NSW by contributing to robust, consistent and reliable teacher accreditation processes. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will provide advice and support to teachers, employers and key stakeholders while helping to ensure accreditation decisions align with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a system that supports teachers throughout their professional careers, from initial accreditation through to ongoing maintenance. You'll work on a diverse range of activities including assessment, stakeholder engagement, quality assurance, data analysis and the development of resources that have a meaningful impact on teaching quality across NSW schools and early childhood services.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

- Providing timely, accurate and practical advice to teachers and employers regarding accreditation requirements.
- Assessing and monitoring teacher accreditation applications against the NSW Teacher Accreditation Manual and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- Supporting the development and implementation of policies,



procedures and quality assurance activities that promote valid, reliable and consistent accreditation decisions.
- Designing and delivering presentations, workshops and information sessions to support stakeholder understanding of accreditation requirements and processes.
- Developing high-quality, research-informed resources and guidance materials that support consistent accreditation practice across schools and early childhood services.
- Analysing accreditation data, teacher feedback and stakeholder insights to identify trends and inform continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contributing to projects and initiatives that strengthen accreditation processes and stakeholder experience.
- Identifying emerging accreditation issues and contributing practical, evidence-based solutions.

Our ideal candidate will have:

- Experience providing professional advice and customer-focused support to diverse stakeholders, including the ability to explain complex policies, processes or requirements in a clear and practical way.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work to tight deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information, identify trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience developing written communications, presentations, briefings or support materials for varied audiences.
- Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships and work effectively as part of a team.
- A sound understanding of teacher accreditation frameworks, professional standards and contemporary issues impacting the teaching profession, with the ability to stay informed of emerging developments and translate them into practical advice and stakeholder support.




- Appropriate tertiary education qualifications and accreditation at Proficient Teacher or above.
- Knowledge of issues pertaining to the accreditation of teachers in NSW including emerging trends in state and national policy.

Note: A current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance for paid employment is required before commencing in this role. It is not required at the application stage. The cost of the WWCC clearance is the responsibility of the successful applicant.
