Job Description
Programmed are currently seeking an experienced Stainless Steel TIG Welder to join their workshop team in Penrith.
n
The successful candidate will be responsible for TIG welding stainless steel components and fabricating quality products to engineering specifications. This role would suit a Welder/Fabricator who has solid TIG experience and takes pride in producing clean, high-quality welds.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
TIG weld stainless steel components to a high standard.
n
Fabricate and assemble stainless steel components and structures.
n
Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
n
Set up and operate TIG welding equipment.
n
Complete preparation, fit-up, tacking and welding of components.
n
Grind, clean and finish welds where required.
n
Measure and inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications.
n
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
n
Work with other tradespeople and workshop staff to complete projects.
n




Maintain a clean and organised work area.
n
Follow all WHS procedures and welding safety requirements.
n

About You
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
Proven experience as a TIG Welder, preferably working with stainless steel.
n
Strong stainless steel welding experience.
n
Ability to produce clean, high-quality TIG welds.
n
Experience reading engineering drawings.
n
Solid fabrication and fit-up skills.
n
Valuable attention to detail.
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
n
Relevant welding qualifications and tickets highly regarded.
n
