CNC Machinist – Commercial Joinery & Shopfitting
Full Time | Immediate Start | No Sponsorship
We are a leading commercial and retail shopfitting and bespoke joinery manufacturer, operating a modern CNC-based production facility delivering high-end fitouts across hospitality, medical, fitness, retail and large-scale commercial environments.
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate our Biesse CNC machine, supporting the production of high-quality joinery components within a fast-paced commercial manufacturing setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC operator who enjoys precision machining, modern equipment, and being part of a professional production team.
The Role
You will be responsible for operating and programming our Biesse CNC machine, preparing materials, managing production workflows, and ensuring accurate, efficient and high-quality machining outcomes.
You will work closely with our drafting, cabinet making and production teams to deliver precision-cut components for commercial and bespoke joinery projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and program Biesse CNC machinery for cutting, drilling and shaping joinery components
- Set up tooling, speeds and feeds for various materials
- Read and interpret shop drawings and CNC files to ensure accurate machining
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Manage material logs and stock tracking
- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload and move materials
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Work collaboratively with production and assembly teams to meet deadlines
- Follow WHS policies and safe work practices at all times
About You
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a joinery or cabinet-making environment
- Experience operating Biesse / BSuite or similar CNC software (training available for strong candidates)
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Solid understanding of CNC machining processes and workflows
- Experience with machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Comfortable managing material logs and stock records
- Forklift licence preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Training Can be provided for the right Candidate
