Job Description

A permanent full-time position has become available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the Australian branch, reporting directly to the Managing Director and (functionally) to the Group CFO.
Key Responsibilities n
Working closely with senior leadership (onshore and offshore), you will maintain financial reporting, forecasting and compliance of Australian operations, as well as overseeing a small administration team.

- Lead month-end and year-end processes including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and BAS.
n
- Prepare financial reports (P&L; and Balance Sheet) with analysis and insights.
n
- Cashflow forecasting and annual budgeting.
n
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
n
Group Reporting nn
- Deliver accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting in line with the Group Financial Calendar.
n
Audit & Governance nn
- Manage audit processes and relationships with external auditors and tax authorities.
n
- Coordinate audit documentation and maintain statutory records and company registers.
n
Payroll, AR & AP nn
- Oversee procurement activities and approve purchasing.
n
- Weekly payroll processing and statutory reporting obligations (PAYG, FBT, payroll tax).
n
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including credit control and collections.
n
Asset & Inventory Management nn
- Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee asset lifecycle management.
n
- Coordinate stocktakes and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
n
- Manage company assets including vehicles and property.
n
Systems & Process Improvement nn
- Oversee financial systems, including upgrades, troubleshooting, and system integrity.
n
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting
n
Skills and Experience n
To be considered for this opportunity, it is important that you demonstrate:
n
n
- Qualifications and proven experience in an aligned accounting role within a commercial workplace .
n
- Solid understanding of financial management, reporting, and compliance frameworks.
n
- Confidence working with financial and payroll system applications, with the ability to quickly adapt to new platforms.
n
- High attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines.
n
- Confident communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
n
Although the following skills are not essential, they will be well regarded:
n
n
- Knowledge of IFRS.
n
- Accounting experience in multinational companies.
n
- Experience in FX (foreign exchange)/currency conversion an advantage).
n
- Experience in Attache and/or SageX3.
n
- Knowledge of CPM Talentia (reporting and consolidation system).
n
n

A competitive salary package in the range of $150,000 – $170,000 plus superannuation is on offer, negotiable based on qualifications, skills and experience. Discretionary company performance-based bonuses are also paid annually and on-site car parking is available.
