Are you an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer with a passion for building secure, scalable, and automated data platforms on AWS?

n

EGC are partnering with a leading Australian bank undergoing significant investment in its enterprise data and cloud capabilities. This is an prospect to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for evolving a large-scale Enterprise Data Platform that supports critical business and data initiatives across the organisation.

n

Working within a modern engineering environment, you will play a key role in designing and enhancing cloud-native platform services, improving operational efficiency, and enabling secure access to data through best-practice governance, automation, and infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Design, build and support AWS-based cloud and data platform services.
n
- Develop secure and scalable data access solutions across enterprise data environments.
n
- Drive cloud platform modernisation and automation initiatives.
n
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
n
- Enhance data governance, security, authentication and authorisation controls.
n
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to improve platform capabilities.
n
- Evaluate new technologies through proof-of-concepts, performance testing and cost optimisation activities.
n
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native operational practices.
n

Required Experience nn
- 8+ years' experience designing,



building and supporting cloud-native platforms on AWS.
n
- Solid hands-on experience with:
n
- AWS Lake Formation
n
- AWS IAM
n
- AWS Identity Centre
n
- Amazon S3
n
- Amazon Redshift
n
- Amazon Athena
n
- Proven experience implementing secure data access and governance frameworks.
n
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, authentication and authorisation models.
n
- Expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
n

Experience working with modern data platform architectures, including: nn
- Data Lakes
n
- Analytics Platforms
n
- Metadata Management
n
- Data Governance
n
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation tooling.
n
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Banking or financial services experience.
n
- Exposure to cloud cost optimisation and platform engineering practices.
n
- Understanding of data governance and regulatory requirements within highly regulated environments.
n
