Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced PET/CT Technologist to join our Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging team in Toowoomba QLD.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality PET/CT imaging services, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining a high standard of clinical practice.

Opportunities may be available for suitable candidates to undertake further training and professional development in MRI or Ultrasound, supporting career progression and the development of specialised imaging skills.

Interstate Applicants – Location Based in Toowoomba QLD

n

We welcome applications from interstate candidates. Travel expenses will be covered for successful applicants required to travel interstate for the position.

n

For interstate or Brisbane applicants, we can do part time all expenses and travel allowance ect is paid.

n

Employees are eligible for 6 weeks of paid maternity leave, which may be taken as 6

n

weeks at full pay or 12 weeks at half pay.

Key Responsibilities

n

Perform PET/CT examinations in accordance with clinical protocols and departmental procedures.

n

Prepare patients and provide clear explanations regarding examinations and procedures.

n

Administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with relevant protocols and safety requirements.

n

Operate PET/CT and associated imaging equipment safely and effectively.

n

Perform appropriate image acquisition, reconstruction and quality control.

n

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

n

Follow radiation safety,



infection control and workplace health and safety requirements.

n

Work collaboratively with nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, radiographers, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

n

Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.

n

About You

n

You will ideally have:

n

Relevant qualification in Medical Radiation Science, Nuclear Medicine or equivalent.

n

Appropriate professional registration and/or eligibility to practise in the relevant jurisdiction.

n

Previous PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine experience is highly desirable.

n

Strong patient-centred communication skills.

n

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to clinical quality.

n

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

n

A strong commitment to radiation safety and professional standards.
