Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team. The position is a newly created role within VMG that will run the AR function across the VMG group of businesses with the support of the existing Finance team. The role will be hands-on whilst we build out the finance team, processes and functions during our growth phase.

Key responsibilities n

- Generate and send invoices to clients accurately and promptly in accordance with contractual terms and billing schedules
n
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely receipt of payments and reconcile any discrepancies or issues with internal teams or clients
n
- Proactively follow up with clients on overdue payments through email, phone calls, or other communication channels to expedite collections and reduce outstanding balances
n
- Allocate incoming payments to appropriate customer accounts and maintain accurate records of all transactions in the accounting system
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to address billing queries, resolve disputes, and ensure payment compliance
n
- Prepare regular accounts receivable reports and aging analysis for internal meetings
n
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations when processing financial transactions
n
- Work collaboratively with the finance team, sales department,



and other stakeholders to foster a cohesive and productive working workplace
n

About you nn
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
n
- Proven experience (3 years) in accounts receivable, credit control, or relevant financial roles
n
- Proficiency in using accounting software and/or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for invoicing, payments, and financial reporting. Xero software experience preferred
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, internal teams, and external partners effectively
n
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines
n
- Analytical mindset with the capacity to identify and resolve issues related to accounts receivable
n
- A customer-centric approach with a focus on maintaining positive relationships with clients during the payment process
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
