nAbout the Role n
n
As an Asbestos Removal Labourer, you will assist with asbestos removal and related site activities while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance.
n
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
n
n
- Assisting with asbestos removal works in accordance with relevant procedures and regulations
n
n
- General demolition labouring, including strip-outs, dismantling and site preparation
n
n
- Safe handling, packaging and disposal of asbestos-containing materials
n
n
- Use of hand and power tools where appropriate
n
n
- Setting up and maintaining work areas and containment zones
n
n
- General site clean-up and removal of demolition materials
n
n
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment
n
n
- Correct use of PPE and safety equipment
n
n
- Following SWMS, site procedures and supervisor directions
n
n
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite
n
n
- Working effectively as part of a team across different job sites
n
n
n
nAbout You n
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
n
n
- Relevant asbestos removal qualifications/licences
n
n
- A current White Card
n
n
- Previous asbestos removal and/or demolition experience
n
n
- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
n
n
- Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour
n
n
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
n
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
n
- Willingness and ability to travel for work is essential
n
n
- A current driver's licence is highly desirable
n
n
- A positive attitude and willingness to undertake diverse labouring duties
n
n
