The Senior Information Systems Analyst leads the analysis, development, enhancement and support of business-critical information systems that enable the National Fire Ant Eradication Program. The role partners with business and technical stakeholders to identify operational needs, define system requirements, deliver technology solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Success in the position requires robust business analysis capability, stakeholder engagement skills, project delivery experience, problem-solving ability and a sound understanding of enterprise information systems and software development practices.

Key Responsibilities n

Business Analysis and Requirements Management Investigate and analyse business processes, identify future-state requirements, and develop detailed business and functional specifications that support strategic projects and system enhancements.

Stakeholder Engagement And Solution Delivery n

Lead consultation with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing expert advice and translating complex business needs into practical and sustainable technology solutions.

ICT Project Coordination And Governance n

Coordinate and prioritise ICT projects, system enhancements and process improvement initiatives while managing risks, issues, dependencies and project governance requirements.

Information Systems Support And Subject Matter Expertise n





Provide specialist advice and administration for business-critical systems, resolving complex issues and escalating risks and impacts appropriately to support operational continuity.

Documentation And Continuous Improvement n

Produce and maintain high-quality business and technical documentation, including process maps, requirements, user guides and operational procedures, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and user experience.

Key Capabilities For Selection n

n
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in an ICT environment, including requirements elicitation, process analysis and specification development.

- Strong stakeholder engagement, consultation and influencing skills, particularly when working with senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.
n
- Experience delivering technology projects and applying recognised methodologies such as SDLC, Agile, BABOK, BPMN or ITIL.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex issues, risks and competing priorities.
n
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics, .NET, Angular, SharePoint and enterprise system improvement initiatives.
