Illawarra Catering Equipment is an established commercial refrigeration and catering equipment business with more than 35 years' experience servicing businesses across the Illawarra, Southern Sydney, Southern Highlands and South Coast.

We work with a diverse range of clients including pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafés, commercial kitchens and aged-care facilities .

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Refrigeration & Catering Equipment Service Technician to join our team.

n

This is a hands‑on field service role suited to a technician who enjoys fault‑finding, variety and working directly with customers.

About the Role n

You will be responsible for servicing, repairing, maintaining and installing a wide range of commercial refrigeration and catering equipment.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Diagnosing and repairing commercial refrigeration and catering equipment
n
- Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
n
- Attending breakdowns and carrying out fault diagnosis
n
- Completing warranty repairs
n
- Installation, commissioning and testing of new equipment
n
- Identifying required parts and arranging parts for repairs and installations
n
- Using our mobile job‑management system to manage service calls
n
- Completing accurate service reports, including the cause of breakdowns and work undertaken
n
- Providing professional and courteous service to customers
n
- Liaising with the Service Coordinator regarding jobs, parts and customer requirements
n
- Maintaining a clean, safe and skilled work environment
n
- Working in accordance with company WHS policies and procedures
n

About You n

We are looking for someone who is technically capable,



reliable and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

n

You will have:

n

n
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32225, UEE32220 or equivalent)
n
- National Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick)
n
- Restricted Electrical Occupation Licence
n
- Current NSW Driver Licence
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar commercial refrigeration/service role
n
- Strong refrigeration fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
n
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs in the field
n
- Good communication and customer service skills
n
- Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills
n
- A professional approach and pride in your workmanship
n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
n

n

Experience with commercial catering equipment will be highly regarded.

n

Experience with equipment such as commercial refrigeration, cool rooms, freezers, ice machines, dishwashers, ovens, combi ovens and other commercial kitchen equipment would be advantageous.
