Cloud Engineer n

We’re seeking a Cloud Engineer with 5 years of experience working across AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms to join a global Information Technology team.

n

You’ll work across time zones with digital and technology teams to design, implement and maintain scalable, secure and highly available cloud infrastructure.

n

This is a hands‑on role supporting cloud migration, infrastructure optimisation, security and best practices across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

The Role n

As a Cloud Engineer, you will:

n

- Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
n
- Build and maintain secure network solutions including VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing and connectivity.
n
- Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, security groups and other security controls.
n
- Maintain and improve Infrastructure-as-Code using AWS CDK and TypeScript.
n
- Monitor system performance, availability and security using cloud-native and third‑party tools.
n
- Support cloud migration and hybrid cloud strategies.
n
- Design and maintain secure connectivity including VPN, site‑to‑site VPN, Direct Connect and ExpressRoute.
n
- Maintain infrastructure supporting CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions runners and deployment environments.
n
- Support vulnerability remediation and security response activities.
n
- Troubleshoot cloud, networking and firewall issues.
n
- Support infrastructure used for web applications and on‑premises software distribution.
n

What We’re Looking For n

You’ll bring:

n

n
- 5 years of hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure.
n
- Solid scripting skills using Python, Bash or PowerShell.
n
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles.
n
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking including VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing tables and DNS.
n




- Hands‑on experience with firewalls and security controls such as Palo Alto, AWS Security Groups, NACLs and Azure NSGs.
n
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
n
- Experience designing secure network connectivity, including VPNs, private endpoints and hybrid networking.
n
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
n
- Good understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor or Prometheus.
n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
n
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams across different disciplines and time zones.
n

Essential Qualifications nn
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
n
- 5 years working with AWS and/or Azure.
n
- Proven hands‑on cloud networking experience.
n
- Experience managing firewalls and cloud security controls.
n
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
n
- Experience with secure network connectivity and hybrid cloud environments.
n
- Experience supporting CI/CD infrastructure.
n

Desirable nn
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or Microsoft Azure Administrator/Architect certification.
n
- Experience with zero‑trust, network segmentation and private networking.
n
- Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience.
n
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
n
