Trainee Community Support Worker (Wagga Wagge) n

We are seeking Trainee (not qualified) Community Care Workers to work with aged care clients across the Greater Wagga Wagga area, across the following area/regions:

This role is for those WHO DON'T hold a industry recognised qualification, who would like to be paid to study and work. The traineeship runs for 12-15 months, with training with real clients in their homes, and you'll be paid to attend training and study days to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021)-Aged Care.

You will be hired within your local area and willing to travel up to 25 minutes to see clients.

n

You will be trained to deliver services to various services to clients in their homes.

Key responsibilities n

n
- Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface cleaning of living areas)
n
- Shopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client
n
- Transportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the community
n
- Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)
n
- Respite and Social Support
n
- Ability to listen, build a rapport, and work with a range of clients and other staff
n

About you nn
- Have a great attitude

- Be reliable and have explicit communication skills

- Want to work with the elderly in their home
n
- Have a willingness to learn and work
n
- Ability to obtain and pass a clear National Police Check
n
- Hold a current NSW Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and have full comprehensive insurance
n
- Be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship
n
- Have regular availability, minimum 3 regular/consistent days per week (Monday to Friday)
n
- Be fit and healthy, be able to complete a variety of tasks, and pass a fitness/health assessment
n
- Desire to care for and help the elderly
n
- Hold a current First Aid & CPR certificate or be willing to obtain.
n
- Live within 10km of one of the mentioned regions/areas.
