Gardenscaping is looking for an experienced Horticulturist/Landscaper to join our team, working across premium residential properties in Melbourne's most prestigious suburbs.

About the Role n

This isn't just mowing and edging. You'll be delivering fine horticultural maintenance alongside hands-on landscaping and garden construction work - from ongoing care programs to hard landscaping tasks like paving, retaining walls, garden bed construction and planting installations. You'll work from landscape plans on design-build projects as well as manage the health and presentation of established high-end gardens.

What You'll Be Doing n

n
- Fine lawn care - mowing, edging, renovation and turf health programs
n
- Skilled horticultural practices - pruning, hedging, pest and disease treatment, nutrition programs
n
- Garden development and planting - soil preparation, plant selection and installation
n
- Landscape construction tasks - paving, retaining walls, timber and stone edging, drainage installation, garden bed construction and turf laying
n
- Reading and working from landscape plans and design drawings on larger projects
n
- Operating landscaping tools and machinery (mini excavators, plate compactors, whackers, etc. - training provided where needed)
n




- Client communication - building relationships with high-value clients and providing expert advice
n
- Working safely and efficiently, both independently and as part of a two-person crew
n

What We're Looking For nn
- Minimum 2 years' experience in horticulture and/or landscaping
n
- Cert III in Horticulture or Landscape Construction viewed very favourably
n
- Practical landscaping/construction experience - paving, retaining walls, drainage or similar hard landscaping work highly regarded
n
- Strong plant knowledge and genuine passion for quality garden care
n
- Comfortable using landscaping tools and equipment
n
- Ability to read basic landscape plans (or willingness to learn)
n
- Valid driver's licence
n
