THE POSITION

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and managing day-to-day support service operations across the hospital
n
- Managing workforce planning, rostering, staffing allocation and leave management
n
- Driving service excellence through audits, inspections and compliance monitoring
n
- Ensuring adherence to healthcare cleaning standards, infection prevention protocols and workplace safety requirements
n
- Managing budgets, labour costs, stock control and operational performance
n
- Leading recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of team members
n
- Investigating incidents, hazards and customer feedback, implementing effective corrective actions
n
- Building strong partnerships with hospital stakeholders and clinical teams
n
- Creating a positive team culture focused on safety, respect and engagement
n
- Identifying opportunities for service improvement and business growth
n

THE PERSON
n
You are an experienced operational leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional service outcomes while developing high-performing teams.
n
You will bring:
n
n
- Proven experience managing support services,
facilities or operational teams in a large and complex environment
n
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop diverse teams
n
- Demonstrated experience managing rosters, workforce planning and labour costs
n
- A genuine commitment to workplace safety and compliance
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
n
- Robust administrative and computer skills, with experience using workforce management and reporting systems
n
- The ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a dynamic environment
n
- A commitment to continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and operational excellence
n
- A current Police Check or willingness to obtain one
n
n
Highly regarded:
n
n
- Previous experience within a healthcare or hospital environment
n
- Understanding of healthcare cleaning standards and infection prevention practices
n
- Experience with systems such as Deputy, payroll platforms, audit tools and reporting software
n
- Recruitment and interviewing experience
