Our client is seeking an experienced Quality and Compliance Manager to join their Aged Care organisation and work in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer to provide a culture of continuous improvement and ensure compliance with all legislation relevant to the provision of quality aged care. This is a well-run established residential provider in Melbourne where you can work with senior leadership and teams across the facility to enhance quality outcomes, compliance frameworks and culture.

Key Responsibilities :

n

- Oversee organisational compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, relevant legislation, and regulatory requirements.
n
- Collaborate with management and teams to ensure ongoing clinical and non-clinical compliance.
n
- Develop, implement, and maintain an organisation-wide audit program to support compliance, accreditation, and continuous improvement.
n
- Lead audit readiness activities, including management of evidence collection systems and maintenance of accurate, traceable compliance documentation.
n
- Support registration renewals, service variations, accreditation processes, and regulatory audits/visits.
n
- Monitor service delivery to ensure alignment between policies, procedures, and care practices.
n
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, workplace health and safety, and risk management to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
n
- Lead the development, review, and continuous improvement of organisational policies, procedures, and quality systems.
n
- Monitor regulatory obligations and ensure timely implementation of actions to meet legislative and compliance requirements.
n




- Maintain the organisational risk register and oversee tracking of key clinical indicators, compliance performance, and major risks.
n
- Prepare compliance reports for management and the Board, including recommendations and action plans arising from audits and reviews.
n
- Coordinate responses to external regulatory bodies, including the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and other agencies.
n
- Support management in addressing consumer feedback, complaints, and continuous improvement opportunities.
n
- Oversee mandatory training compliance and maintenance of the organisational Education Matrix.
n
- Build staff capability by promoting understanding of compliance requirements and audit expectations across all departments.
n

The Successful Candidate :

n

n
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with experience in the aged care sector.
n
- Experience preparing for accreditation, audits and regulatory assessments.
n
- Knowledge and experience in audit methodologies, compliance monitoring, data analysis, and report preparation.
n
- Demonstrated values-based leadership style with a strong commitment to collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
n
- Understanding of clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement principles within an aged care setting.
n
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act, Strengthened Quality Standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
n
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
n
- Current National Police Check
