Job Description
The role of the intensive care nurse is specialised and team-oriented, providing consumer-centred, evidence-based care to critically ill patients with complex and rapidly changing clinical needs.
Key responsibilities
Deliver protected, high-quality and evidence-based care to patients within the Intensive Care Unit.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
Maintain effective communication and therapeutic relationships with patients, families and healthcare specialists to support positive patient outcomes.
Contribute to safety, quality improvement, audits and service initiatives within the Intensive Care Unit.
