House Leader - NDIS - Disability Support

We are seeking a highly motivated House Leader to join our team and help lead the day-to-day operations of one of our supported accommodation homes. Due to participant preferences we require Male applicants for this position.

n

This is a hands‐on leadership position suited to someone who is passionate about delivering high‐quality, person‐centred support while also mentoring and guiding a team of Lifestyle Assistants.

n

As House Leader, you will work directly with participants while being allocated administration time each week to complete reporting, documentation and other operational responsibilities.

n

About the Role

n

Working closely with the Service Manager, you will help ensure the home operates safely, effectively and in line with participant goals, Aspire Hub policies and NDIS requirements.

n

You will play an important role in creating a positive environment for both participants and employees while supporting the ongoing development and performance of your team.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Providing day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to Lifestyle Assistants.
n
- Mentoring and supporting new and existing team members.
n
- Promoting a positive, respectful and accountable team culture.
n
- Supporting the implementation of participant support plans and behaviour support strategies.
n
- Promoting participant independence, choice and control.
n
- Building positive relationships with participants, families and other stakeholders.
n
- Ensuring participant documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
n
- Supporting the daily operations of the home.
n
- Assisting with rosters and shift coordination where required.
n
- Ensuring the home remains safe, organised and operates effectively.
n
- Reporting incidents, hazards and concerns appropriately.
n
- Supporting compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and Aspire Hub policies.
n
- Contributing to audits,



reporting and continuous quality improvement activities.
n
- Communicating operational matters, concerns and updates with the Service Manager.
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about participant outcomes and enjoys supporting both people and teams to succeed.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Experience working within disability, mental health, community services or a related sector.
n
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the confidence to provide direction and support to employees.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- The ability to remain calm and professional when working under pressure.
n
- Strong organisational and problem‐solving skills.
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities.
n
- A commitment to creating a positive and supportive workplace culture.
n
- A strong commitment to person‐centred support and positive participant outcomes.
n
- Certificate IV or higher in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, Aged Care or a related field, or currently be studying towards a relevant qualification.
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
n
- Current Working with Children Check.
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
n
- Current Driver Licence.
n
- Ability to meet Aspire Hub's training, screening and compliance requirements.
n
