Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best fit Youth Workers to Youth Service Organisations across Australia.

n

We have casual, residential Youth Worker roles available in Ryde, Roseville, Turramurra, Artarmon, Pymble, Waitara, North Shore & St Ives.

Youth Workers will be required to: n

n
- Deliver high quality care and support within a 24-hour residential setting to children and young people who are unable to live with their families, kinship carers or foster carers.
n
- Be able to work a combination of shifts which may include: day shifts – from 0600, afternoon & sleepovers shifts – from 1400 – 0930 next day, actives night shifts – from 2200/2300/midnight.
n
- Respond to the young person’s emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
n
- Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.
n
- Provide a safe and home workplace while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
n
- Assist with administrative requirements and household duties.
n

What you need: nn
- A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or a recognised tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or a related qualification (or working towards)
n




- Experience supporting high risk youth in a residential care setting.
n
- Australian driver's license (We cannot accept international licenses)
n
- First Aid Certificate with current CPR
n
- Working with Children Check (paid employee status)
n
- National police check (current within 6 months)
n
- Have a reliable car with registration certificate
n
- Reliable smart phone with data
n
- Ability to work a combination of morning, afternoon and over night shifts (active and/or sleepover shifts)
n
- Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs including sexualised behaviors.
