UPA of NSW is building a directly employed casual team of Personal Care Workers/Care Service Employees across (INSERT LOCATION) for Christmas, Recent Year and beyond.

/n

These are direct UPA employment opportunities—not agency placements. You won’t just be another name filling a shift; you’ll be a UPA employee and part of the team from day one.

You’ll receive a proper UPA induction, ongoing workplace support and the chance to work with familiar residents, teams and homes rather than starting from scratch every shift.

ABOUT THE ROLE /n

As a Personal Care Worker/Care Service Employee, you’ll support residents to maintain their independence, wellbeing and connection to the things they enjoy.

/n

Your responsibilities may include:

/n

/n

- Providing respectful, person‑centred care

/n





- Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities

/n

- Assisting residents with mobility

/n

- Supporting medication administration when appropriately trained and assessed as competent

/n

- Working closely with nurses and other care employees

/n

- Building positive relationships with residents and their families

/n

YOU’LL BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU: /n

/n

- Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or an equivalent qualification, or are actively working towards one where permitted

/n

- Have a compassionate and respectful approach to supporting older people

/n

- Are reliable and comfortable responding to available shifts

/n

- Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team

/n

- Can work across a range of days and shift times

/n

/n

Previous residential aged‑care experience and a current First Aid Certificate are desirable.

BEFORE YOU START /n

Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of UPA’s required pre‑employment checks, which may include:

- National Criminal History Check

- Pre‑employment medical assessment

- Verification of qualifications and Australian working rights

As this is casual employment, shifts will depend on operational requirements and your availability. Availability for morning, afternoon, night, weekend and public‑holiday shifts will be highly regarded.
