As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled plumber who wants to take the next step into a Sales Technician role — learning how to diagnose, quote and sell plumbing work while still doing what you already know best.

You do not need to already be an experienced salesperson.

We provide ongoing training, support and systems to teach you how to confidently quote work, present options to customers and increase your earning potential.

Plumbing is hard work. We’re sure you already know that.

Our expectation is to provide an Old Mate experience to every customer.

You’ll need to talk to customers, diagnose problems and confidently recommend solutions.

You’ll be expected to follow our systems, keep good notes and take pride in the way you present yourself and your work.

This isn’t a role where you simply get handed a job sheet, replace a part and move onto the next one.

Maintenance Plumber / Sales Technician – $200k+ Potential n

You’ll learn how to quote and sell work properly.
n You don’t need to come in as a salesperson. We provide ongoing training to help you diagnose jobs, present options, build quotes and confidently communicate with customers.

n

Your earning potential isn’t capped at an hourly wage.
n This role includes strong performance-based earning potential. The better you become at helping customers, quoting work and producing results, the more you can earn.

- n

You won’t get stuck installing every large job you sell.
n If a job requires more than approximately 2.5 hours of installation work , it will generally be handed over to our dedicated installation team.

n
- n

Your job is to diagnose the issue, present the solution, sell the work and provide a clean handover so our install team can complete it.

n
- n

The work is fun, fresh and dynamic.
n Every day is different. Blocked drains, hot water, leaks, toilets, plumbing maintenance, inspections and larger opportunities for the installation team.

n
- n

The hours are great.
n We operate from approximately 7:30am to 3:30pm , rarely work overtime and we don’t work weekends. That’s your time.

n
- n

You’ll be provided with a full day of jobs.




n We generate the work and provide realistic timeframes so you can focus on looking after customers and producing great results.

You’ll have ongoing training.
n We’re continually improving our systems, technical knowledge, sales process and customer experience.

n

If you want to improve, we’ll give you the tools to do it.

You’ll be speaking with customers every day, explaining what you’ve found, answering questions and helping them decide how they want to move forward.

You need to be able to clearly state your name and the business you work for when a customer calls — not the tradie’s token deep sigh followed by “yeah... hello?”

You need to be willing to learn how to sell.

What We’re Looking For n

Driver's Licence & Plumbing Licence: Must-haves to get you on the road and doing great work.

Strong Maintenance Plumbing Experience: You need to be comfortable fault-finding and diagnosing residential plumbing issues.
