Medical Secretary / Receptionist - Southern Sydney Vascular n
Location: Cronulla, Sydney NSW | Type: Part-time | Pay: $32-$40 per hour + superannuation. Hourly rate will be determined based on relevant medical administration experience and skills. Preferred commencement date: 1 November 2026.
About the Role n
Southern Sydney Vascular is seeking a friendly, reliable and highly organised Medical Secretary / Receptionist to join our specialist vascular clinic in Cronulla .
n
Our clinic provides specialist vascular consultations, vascular ultrasound services and vascular laser treatments , with a strong focus on professional, personalised patient care.
n
This is a part-time position suited to someone who is an excellent communicator, enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing a high standard of patient service.
n
Previous medical reception experience is highly regarded; however, we are also open to candidates with strong administrative or customer service experience who are willing to learn . Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities n
n
- Welcome patients in a friendly, professional and respectful manner
n
- Manage front-desk reception and day-to-day patient enquiries
n
- Answer telephone calls clearly and professionally
n
- Coordinate specialist consultations, vascular ultrasound appointments and laser treatment bookings
n
- Manage referrals, follow-ups and appointment scheduling
n
- Process patient billing, including Medicare, DVA, private health funds and Eclipse
n
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
n
- Liaise with GPs, hospitals, imaging centres and other healthcare providers
n
- Assist with general administration and the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic
n

Previous experience in medical reception, specialist practice, healthcare administration or a similar customer-facing environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
n
Experience with Shexie, Bluechip, Genie or similar medical practice software is also advantageous; however, training can be provided.
