Wagga City Golf Club is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Pro Shop Assistant to join our team. We're offering a flexible arrangement, whether you're after a traditional 5-day week or prefer to work across 4 longer days, we're open to discussing what works for you, provided you can commit to 30+ hours per week including weekend availability .

About the Role n

As Pro Shop Assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for members and guests, helping to create a welcoming and professional workplace both in the pro shop and around the club.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to members and visitors
n
- Manage bookings, competition entries, and tee sheet administration
n
- Process retail sales, handle stock control, and merchandise displays
n
- Assist with member and social enquiries, memberships, and general administration
n
- Support the running of club competitions and events
n
- Maintain a clean, well-presented pro shop environment
n
- Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
n

End of Day Duties nn
- Bring in and charge the golf cart fleet, checking for any damage or issues
n
- Reconcile the till and complete daily sales reporting
n
- Tidy and restock the pro shop ready for the next day
n




- Lock up and secure the shop and surrounding area
n

What We're Looking For nn
- A genuine interest in and knowledge of golf preferred but not essential
n
- Strong customer service and communication skills
n
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
n
- Reliable, well-presented, and punctual
n
- Prior pro shop, retail, or hospitality experience highly regarded
n

Availability across weekends is essential — weekday roster is flexible (4 or 5 days considered) n

Basic computer literacy (POS systems, booking software, etc.)

n

Reliable transportation to and from the golf course.

n

A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification is required. If you do not currently hold an RSA, you must be willing to obtain one.
