A key focus of this role is to lead the Council and other student voice forums, build authentic connections with young people and create meaningful opportunities for their ideas, experiences and perspectives to inform Departmental work.

Key responsibilities n

n
- You will create productive, inclusive and safe environments where all students feel valued, heard and supported to contribute.
n
- You will contribute to branch, Directorate and Statewide Services priorities and projects, respond flexibly to emerging needs, and build effective connections across the Department to support successful outcomes.
n
- You will work closely with students, schools and regions, as well as colleagues across Statewide Services and Central Services, and with community, government and not-for-profit organisations.
n




- You will bring robust interpersonal and communication skills and the confidence to engage authentically with young people while also developing trusted, productive relationships with colleagues, senior leaders and external stakeholders.

What you need nn
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
n
- hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia.
