Key Responsibility n

n
- Interpret and work from architectural drawings, plans, specifications and measurements to determine required materials, dimensions and construction procedures for residential and commercial projects.
n
- Measure, mark, cut, shape and prepare timber, plywood, wallboard and other construction materials using appropriate hand and power tools.
n
- Construct, erect and install timber wall frames, floor structures, roof framing, ceilings, partitions and other structural components in accordance with project specifications.
n
- Set out and assemble timber components, ensuring accurate alignment, levels, dimensions and structural integrity throughout the construction process.
n
- Install floorboards, sub-flooring, wall cladding, fascia, panelling, doors,



window frames and other timber fixtures and fittings.
n
- Construct and install internal and external carpentry components, including stairs, frames, partitions, cabinetry and other fixtures as required for residential and commercial construction projects.
n
- Cut and join timber components using appropriate joints, fasteners, nails, screws, brackets and other fixing methods to achieve strong and exact assemblies.
n
- Prepare and install formwork and temporary timber structures where required for construction and concrete works.
n
- Inspect completed carpentry work to ensure accuracy, quality, durability and compliance with drawings, specifications and applicable building requirements.
n
- Repair, renovate and replace damaged or deteriorated timber structures, fixtures and fittings as part of residential and commercial renovation projects.
n
- Select, prepare and organise timber, hardware and other construction materials required for allocated projects, minimising material wastage and maintaining efficient workflow.
n
- Coordinate with builders, supervisors, tradespeople and other construction personnel to ensure carpentry activities are completed efficiently and in accordance with project schedules.
n
- Maintain and safely operate carpentry hand tools, power tools and equipment,



ensuring appropriate procedures are followed on construction sites.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area and comply with workplace health and safety requirements, site procedures and relevant construction standards.
n
- Complete carpentry work to the company’s expected standards of quality craftsmanship, contributing to the successful delivery of residential and commercial construction projects.

To be successful in this role nn
- Minimum one year of verifiable relevant work experience supported by a relevant trade qualification.
n
- Demonstrated capacity to accurately read and interpret building plans, drawings and construction specifications.
n
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber and other construction materials.
n
- Competent in constructing and installing frames, flooring, walls, doors, windows, roofs and other timber structures.
n
- Proficient in safely operating a range of carpentry hand tools, power tools and construction equipment.
n
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify construction issues, carry out repairs and deliver quality carpentry work.
n
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with builders, supervisors and other trades while meeting project timelines and safety requirements.
