A growing residential builder operating across the investment and wholesale housing space is looking to appoint a Drafting Manager to lead its documentation and design function.

Based in a modern Prahranoffice, this is an opportunity to step into a broader leadership position within a growing business, managing a small offshore drafting team while working closely with Estimating, Construction and Design.

About the Role n

As Drafting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are accurately documented, coordinated and ready to progress to site.
n You will play a key role across the design and pre-construction process, providing technical leadership and ensuring documentation meets the required quality, compliance and construction standards.

Key responsibilities will include: n

- Lead and manage a small offshore drafting team
n
- Review and maintain quality and compliance of construction documentation
n
- Ensure projects are accurately documented and ready to proceed to site
n
- Work closely with Estimating and Construction teams throughout the project lifecycle
n
- Lead design development and coordinate design changes
n
- Manage variations, amendments and new construction details
n
- Review drawings and documentation to identify potential issues before they impact construction
n
- Develop and maintain drafting standards, processes and quality controls
n
- Provide technical guidance and support to the wider business
n
- Coordinate documentation between internal teams and external stakeholders
n

About You n

This role would suit an experienced Architectural Draftsperson, Building Designer or Senior Draftsperson who is ready to take the next step into a more dynamic leadership position.

You will ideally have: n

n
- Strong residential drafting experience
n
- Advanced proficiency in Revit
n
- A solid understanding of residential construction and documentation
n
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on documentation quality
n
- Experience coordinating design changes, variations and construction details
n
- The ability to work collaboratively with Estimating and Construction teams
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Experience leading, mentoring or coordinating other drafters is highly desirable
n
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they reach site
n
