About the Role n

MacKellar is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our growing Nyngan mining operation.
n This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, supporting and developing the operational team, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

n

Working closely with the broader site leadership team, you will drive a strong safety culture, maximise equipment utilisation and support the achievement of production targets. This is an opportunity to join a long-term project and play an important role in building a high-performing production team.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Lead, supervise and support production crews to achieve daily targets
n
- Coordinate day-to-day mining activities and allocate resources effectively
n
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the operation
n
- Monitor production performance, equipment utilisation and operational efficiency
n
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
n
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings and other crew communications
n




- Ensure compliance with site procedures, policies and relevant legislation
n
- Work closely with Maintenance and other site departments to coordinate operational requirements
n
- Provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to team members
n
- Report on production performance, safety and operational issues
n
- Support the development of a positive, accountable and high-performing team environment
n

About You nn
- Demonstrated experience in a Production Supervisor or similar leadership role within a mining environment
n
- Strong experience in open-cut production mining
n
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop operational teams
n
- Robust understanding of production, safety and operational processes
n
- Experience working with excavators, dozers and other production mining equipment highly regarded
n
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing operational environment
n
- Commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement
n
- Current relevant RII competencies and mining qualifications
n
- Current Australian driver's licence
n
