About the Role
Are you a Trade Assistant or a Roofer with some hands-on experience looking to step up? MBO Roofing is a growing team specializing in residential and commercial roof maintenance. We are looking for a reliable Roofer / Trade Assistant who knows the basics of roofing or construction and wants to build a long-term career.
You don't need to be a master of leak diagnosis yet—we will train you—but you must have basic roofing or roofing-adjacent experience and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
Assist & Learn: Work alongside experienced roofers to repair, replace, rebed, and repoint concrete and terracotta ridge cappings.
Basic Repairs: Assist with metal sheeting, flashings, caps, and penetrations.
Site Preparation: Set up safety equipment, handle materials, and ensure a clean, effective workspace.
Safety Focus: Work safely and confidently at heights under supervision, adhering strictly to building codes.
Client Interaction: Be polite, professional, and respectful when dealing with clients on-site.
About You (Requirements)
Some Experience Required: Basic hands-on experience in roofing, roof tiling, plumbing, or as a construction Trade Assistant.
Licences & Cards:
A valid Australian Driver’s Licence and a current White Card are essential.
Heights: Comfortable working confidently at heights (Working safely at Heights ticket is a huge plus).
Attitude: Punctual, reliable, keen to learn the trade, and takes pride in their work.
