Prospero Teaching is partnering with a diverse range of schools across Melbourne and Regional Victoria to recruit passionate and dedicated Design Technology and TAS Teachers for permanent and fixed-term opportunities commencing in January 2027.

We are currently seeking teachers interested in teaching Years 7-12, with year levels tailored to your experience and preferences.

The role

We are looking for enthusiastic educators specialising in one or more of the following areas:

- Design and Technology
- Timber Technology
- Metal Technology
- Engineering and Design
- Food Technology
- Hospitality
- Design and Creative Technologies
- Graphics and Technical Drawing
- Manufacturing and Construction Pathways

Opportunities are available across Melbourne's metropolitan suburbs and Regional Victoria, with positions ranging from graduate and early-career roles through to experienced classroom teachers and curriculum leaders.

About you

To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Relevant teaching qualifications
- Current VIT registration, or eligibility to obtain registration
- Experience teaching Design Technology, TAS, Industrial Technology, Hospitality, Food Technology, Engineering, or related subjects (graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Solid classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for practical learning, innovation, and student engagement
- The ability to build positive relationships within school communities
- A commitment to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments
- The ability to inspire students to develop creativity, problem-solving, design thinking, and industry-relevant skills
