This position offers immediate exposure to a broad and engaging mix of practice areas. You will manage matters from intake to resolution, appearing in court and VCAT while receiving strong and structured support.

Key responsibilities n

Acting in general commercial litigation and contractual disputes

n

Handling family law matters, including property settlements and parenting arrangements

n

Managing wills and estates disputes, including Part IV family provision claims

n

Preparing for and appearing at VCAT proceedings across various lists

n

Drafting pleadings, witness statements, affidavits, and court submissions

n

Providing strategic, empathetic advice directly to a diverse client base

About you n

Admitted solicitor with a strong foundation in civil litigation

n

2 to 4 years of Post Admission Experience (PAE) in litigation, family law, and wills and estates

n

Proven experience preparing court documents including pleadings, affidavits, defences,



applications, submissions and instructing counsel

n

Confident advocacy skills, with prior experience appearing at VCAT and court

n

Excellent legal research, analytical, and drafting abilities

n

Exceptional communication skills and a highly empathetic, client-oriented approach

n

Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities effectively

n
