Make Lemonade Psychology is looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join our Fitzroy team and help meet growing demand for afternoon and evening appointments.

n

We are a team of experienced psychologists committed to thoughtful, ethical and evidence-based care. We work with adolescents and adults aged 15 and over who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, identity, ADHD and the complexities of modern life.

n

Our approach is curious and collaborative, grounded in the understanding that complex experiences rarely have simple answers. We care about meaningful, lasting change.. not quick fixes or high-volume therapy.

The role n

This is an independent contractor position. You will provide individual psychological therapy from our welcoming Fitzroy clinic, with a caseload shaped around your experience, interests and preferred therapeutic approaches.

The role can be part-time or full-time, including as little as one regular shift per week. Current consulting-room availability includes:

Monday morning/afternoon: 8 am–2 pm, with availability for at least four and up to five appointments

n

Monday to Friday afternoon/evening: 2 pm–8 pm, with availability for at least three and up to five appointments

n

Saturday: 9 am–4 pm

n

We are particularly interested in clinicians who can work afternoon and evening shifts. The number of days and preferred finishing times can be discussed with the successful applicant.

There is no minimum caseload beyond maintaining the expected appointment availability during each agreed shift.



We have systems for adjusting whether a clinician’s caseload is open, closed or hard closed, helping clinicians maintain full appointment books while ensuring existing clients can access appointments when needed.

This opportunity may suit an established clinician wanting to add private-practice work to their week, or someone transitioning from a public setting and looking to build a sustainable private-practice caseload within a supportive team.

We offer a market-competitive fee split rather than a room-rental arrangement.

About you n

You are a warm, reflective and engaged clinician who values depth, collaboration and evidence-based practice. You are comfortable sitting with complexity and helping clients understand the patterns behind their thoughts, emotions, experiences and relationships.

You will also have: n

- Full registration with AHPRA
n
- Clinical Psychology endorsement
n
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
n
- An Australian Business Number
n
- Professional indemnity insurance
n
- Experience providing evidence-based therapy to adolescents and/or adults
n
- Sound clinical formulation, risk-assessment and record-keeping skills
n
- A current Working with Children Check if you intend to accept clients under 18
n
- Availability for one or more of the advertised consulting shifts
n

We do not require a minimum level of private-practice experience. Many of our clinicians have transitioned from public settings or combine public and private work.
