Immediate Start available for a family law / estate planning lawyer

Lobb & Kerr is a generalist law firm in Mount Waverley with many years of experience in estate planning, conveyancing, family law, and commercial practice.

We are looking for a full-time lawyer with a motivated and detail-oriented work ethic to join our team to meet our increasing clientele.

About the position

We are looking for a lawyer in the 1-3 year PQE range who has prior experience in family law and estate planning, who is also willing to support and learn in other areas such as property law and commercial law.

Recently admitted lawyers with prior exposure to estate planning and family law in a legal support role will also be considered.

What you will be doing

- For family law:
- Liaising with/advising clients
- Drafting court documents including orders and affidavits
- Briefing counsel
- Property settlement/children's matters
- Drafting and advising in relation to Binding Financial Agreement
- You will be working alongside our dedicated and experienced family lawyer, Lanah Tiley.
- Meeting with clients to discuss their estate planning needs




- Drafting Wills both simple and complex
- Drafting Powers of Attorney
- You will be working alongside the principals who have have decades of experience in the estate planning area.

About you

The ideal candidate:

Must be admitted to practice in the state of Victoria.

Excellent typing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Attention to detail and a committed work ethic

Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines

Confidence in managing files independently and as part of a team

Experience with LEAP legal software will also be strongly considered.
