Our client is a growing manufacturing business that's scaling fast and needs a genuine all-rounder to own its finance function. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants real ownership and variety, not just a seat in a big finance team.

About the role: n

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for everything from day-to-day transactions through to month-end reporting and strategic input. You'll work closely with operations and production teams to understand the numbers behind the business, not just report them.

This role suits an experienced, adaptable accountant who thrives in a smaller, less structured environment and enjoys being close to the action.

Key Responsibilities: n

- Own the finance function end-to-end, from transactional processing through to management reporting
n
- Manage month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting to the Group Financial Controller and CFO
n
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll (with hands-on involvement as needed)
n
- Manage inventory and standard costing, which is critical in a manufacturing setting
n
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections
n
- Handle BAS, FBT, payroll tax and other compliance obligations
n
- Liaise with external accountants/auditors for tax return and audit support
n
- Monitor working capital, including stock levels, debtors and creditors
n
- Improve systems and processes as the business scales
n




- Get involved in operational finance issues as they arise

What We Are Looking For: n

You bring:

n

n
- CA/CPA qualified, or qualified by experience
n
- Proven all-rounder experience, comfortable across transactional, management and strategic accounting
n
- Manufacturing, inventory or costing experience highly regarded
n
- Hands-on experience managing month-end and balance sheet processes without a large support team
n
- Solid understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements
n
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting/ERP systems
n
- A "roll up your sleeves" attitude, happy to do the detail work as well as the strategic thinking
n
- Comfortable working autonomously in a smaller business with less structure than a large corporate
n
