About the Role n

Macmahon Underground is returning to New Zealand and seeking experienced Underground Mining Superintendent to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on Recent Zealand’s South Island.

n

As part of this exciting opportunity, Macmahon will deliver underground development, production and backfill services from October 2026.

n

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this is an outstanding opportunity for a proven underground mining leader to inspire high-performing teams, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in the success of a major project.

Responsibilities n

Develop, implement, and execute the underground mining schedule to achieve production targets.

n

Manage rosters,



workforce planning, and personnel deployment.

n

Lead performance management, coaching, and development activities for site teams.

n

Build andmaintainstrong client relationships and act as the key project liaison.

n

Facilitate and lead operational, safety, and planning meetings.

n

Drive a high-performance culture focused on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring n

Demonstrated experience in an Underground Mine Superintendent role

n

Hold at least one of the following mining leadership qualifications:

n

S26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate (WA)

n

S123/G189 Mining Supervisor ticket (QLD)

n

S10 Statutory Supervisor Certificate (NSW)

n

B or A Grade NZ Statutory Supervisors ticket

n

Ability to build trust, set standards and make clear decisions

n

Commitment to safe, high-quality delivery

n

Valid Australian manual drivers’ licence or New Zealand (Class 1)
