Vicwest Roofing is looking for a reliable, motivated and hard-working Roofing Crew Assistant to join our team across Ballarat and Geelong.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get into the roofing industry, learn from experienced roof plumbers and potentially build a long-term career in the trade.
This is much more than just a labouring role.
You'll be working alongside experienced roofing crews on quality residential projects and getting genuine hands‑on experience across roof plumbing, Colorbond roofing and wall cladding.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting experienced roof plumbers on residential projects
- Loading, unloading and moving roofing materials
- Preparing tools and materials for the crew
- Assisting with Colorbond roofing and wall cladding
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised
- Helping the crew keep projects running efficiently
- Learning roofing skills and industry practices on the job
What we're looking for
- A great attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working at heights
- Construction experience is preferred but not essential
- Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to work hard, learn and progress .
