Whilst the day-to-day work is incredibly varied, typical duties will include:
Preparing court documents and briefs and managing client communication.
Generating bills using Affinity and monitoring trust account balances.
File opening, closure/archiving, including the management of electronic and hard copy content and liaising with the accounts department.
About you
This role requires someone with legal secretarial/assistant experience and organisational abilities, a strong eye for detail and a natural inclination for taking initiative. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter but also thrives in a collaborative work workplace.
You can bring the following experience:
- Legal Secretarial experience, ideally with some wills, probate and estates experience but this is not essential.
- Providing executive legal support to Partners and senior lawyers.
- Managing end-to-end file administration; Drafting and formatting complex legal documents.
- Scheduling client meetings, managing calendars and travel coordination.
- Liaising with clients, courts and external stakeholders with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
