Vitality Recruitment is recruiting a Roof Plumber / Roofer on behalf of Werschmann Roofing Pty Ltd for this position.

The successful candidate will be employed directly by Werschmann Roofing, with Vitality Recruitment managing the advertising and recruitment process on their behalf.

About Us n

Werschmann Roofing is a growing Brisbane-based roofing company specialising in metal roof replacements, current metal roofing and associated roof plumbing works across Brisbane and surrounding areas.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and qualified Roof Plumber / Roofer to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the Role n

The successful applicant will work across a range of residential and commercial roofing projects, with a strong focus on metal roofing and roof replacements.

n

You will be responsible for carrying out roofing and roof plumbing works safely, efficiently and to a high standard of workmanship while working both independently and as part of our roofing team.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Removal of existing roofing materials and preparation of roof areas
n
- Installation of metal roof sheeting, including corrugated and concealed-fix roofing systems
n
- Installation and replacement of gutters, downpipes and associated rainwater goods
n
- Installation of ridge cappings, barge cappings, apron flashings, soaker flashings and other roof flashings
n
- Installation of box gutters, valleys, rainheads and associated drainage components where required
n
- Installation of roof insulation, sarking and roof underlays where required
n




- Installation and replacement of roof battens and associated components where required
n
- Installation and flashing of roof penetrations, vents and skylights where required
n
- Measuring, cutting and forming roofing materials and flashings
n
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications
n
- Identifying and rectifying roofing defects, leaks and water-ingress issues
n
- Carrying out roof repairs and maintenance works where required
n
- Working safely at heights and in accordance with WHS requirements
n
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, site presentation and cleanliness
n
- Working effectively both independently and as part of a roofing crew
n

About You n

The successful applicant will ideally have:

n

n
- A completed trade qualification in roofing, roof plumbing or an equivalent recognised overseas roofing trade
n
- Relevant practical experience as a qualified roofer, roof plumber or metal roofer
n
- Strong practical knowledge of metal roofing systems and installation methods
n
- Experience with metal roof sheeting, gutters, flashings and associated roof components
n
- Ability to accurately measure, cut and install roofing materials
n




- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
n
- Good practical problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to work safely at heights
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Good communication and organisational skills
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Construction White Card or ability to obtain one
n
- Australian working rights or eligibility to obtain an appropriate Australian work visa
n

n

Experience with Colorbond and Zincalume roofing systems, metal roof replacements and architectural metal roofing will be highly regarded.

n

Applicants with a completed overseas roofing apprenticeship or recognised trade qualification, including qualified European roofers, are encouraged to apply.
