We are looking for an experienced Plate Sales & Estimator to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with solid knowledge of steel plate, fabrication and plate processing, combined with excellent commercial and customer service skills.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and quotations, managing customer enquiries and developing sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to order.
Key responsibilities n

- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates and quotations for plate products
n
- Interpret customer drawings, specifications and material requirements.
n
- Calculate material quantities, cutting requirements, labour and processing costs.
n
- Provide customers with technical and commercial advice on plate products and processing options.
n
- Respond promptly to sales enquiries and follow up quotations to secure orders.
n
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
n
- Identify new sales opportunities and contribute to business growth.
n
- Liaise with production, purchasing and operations teams to ensure quoted work can be delivered efficiently.
n
- Maintain accurate pricing, customer and quotation information.
n
- Assist with negotiating pricing, lead times and delivery requirements.
n
- Ensure estimates are commercially sound and aligned with company margins
