About the Role n

That’s Alotta Donuts is a growing food manufacturing and retail business looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Accounts Administrator to oversee our financial operations.

n

This is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day accounting function, financial reporting, inventory accounting, compliance and payroll across both our manufacturing and retail operations.

n

We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, highly organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail matter.

Key Responsibilities n

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and inventory accounting .

n

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports .

n

Develop and maintain robust inventory valuation processes covering raw materials, work-in-progress and retail stock.

n

Coordinate annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

n

Prepare and analyse budget-to-actual variance reports and provide meaningful financial insights to management.

n

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and business performance.

Compliance & Internal Controls n

Manage tax and regulatory compliance relevant to food manufacturing and retail operations.

n

Prepare and lodge BAS and state payroll tax returns .

n

Maintain business licences, health department certifications and food safety compliance documentation.

n

Establish and maintain strong internal controls across accounting and retail POS systems .

n

Monitor financial processes to minimise errors, discrepancies and potential fraud.

n

Act as the primary point of contact for external accountants, auditors and relevant tax authorities.

Payroll & HR Administration n





Manage end-to-end payroll processing for salaried employees, hourly manufacturing staff and shift-based retail employees.

n

Ensure payroll processes comply with applicable employment, award, overtime and wage requirements.

n

Reconcile payroll tax, workers' compensation and employee benefits.

n

Maintain accurate employee and payroll records.

n

Work closely with management and HR on payroll and employment-related matters.

About You n

We’re looking for someone who combines robust technical accounting skills with a practical, hands-on approach.

n

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline .

n

CPA or CA certification is highly preferred.

n

5+ years' progressive accounting experience , preferably within food manufacturing, FMCG, consumer goods or retail.

n

Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, payroll and compliance.

n

Advanced proficiency with MYOB and ERP systems .

n

Strong understanding of payroll and POS systems.

n

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

n

Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with management and operational teams.

n

Experience working across both manufacturing and retail environments.

n

Experience with inventory accounting, manufacturing costing and stock control.

n

Strong understanding of Australian taxation, payroll and employment compliance.
