Lawyer - IP and Trade marks (3-5 years' PQE)

The role

We have an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 3 to 5 years’ PQE to join our IP & General Commercial practice. You will be mentored by a team of Principal Lawyers with a broad range of industry experience who undertake a diverse range of work.

Our clients are highly regarded companies and groups including software companies, technology businesses, professional services firms, national brands and corporate groups. You will work across a broad range of intellectual property, technology, privacy and commercial matters.

The candidate

You will ideally have experience in the following areas:

- Responses to Examination Reports trade mark oppositions and removal actions;
- Software licensing and technology agreements;




- Data privacy compliance and privacy policy drafting;
- Intellectual property enforcement and brand protection strategies;
- Artificial intelligence related legal issues;
- Australian Consumer Law compliance; and
- Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.

Essential personal attributes for the role include excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be commercially and results oriented, and capable of assessing a client's risk appetite and developing practical and cutting-edge solutions to complex legal issues. Strong drafting, negotiation and client relationship management skills are required.

An interest in business development and client relationship management would be highly regarded.
